Lawrence domestic partner registry faces another vote Tuesday

Although it seems clear we have the votes to pass a domestic partner registry in Lawrence, it's important to make certain the City Commission knows we're committed. Thus, the Kansas Equality Coalition is urging supporters of the registry to attend Tuesday's City Commission meeting.

The registry is up for first reading on the consent agenda.

All this should require from us is to attend, listen politely and then leave quietly once the Commission has passed on the item. I believe there is one more vote before the registry becomes law.
